-          A sentence structure, in music context, refers to a phrase that has a 1 + 1 + 2 design (or multiple of this structure, often 2 + 2 + 4)  The numbers here refer to measures or phrase/subphrase length

-          The first unit usually states a motive or sub phrase.

-          The second unit usually restate the motive or sub phrases possibly embellished, but is the same length
