-              Closely related keys are (1) the relative major or minor [same key signature], plus both major and relative minor keys adjacent on the circle of fifths

-              For example C major is closely related to A minor (its relative), plus G major and e minor, plus F major and d minor.

-              Notice the G major/e minor pair is one notch clockwise from C major and F major/d minor pair is one notch counterclockwise from C major/a minor
