-          A transferred resolution is when one voice contains a leading tone, and instead of resolving immediately up by step in that voice, the leading tone is ‘transferred’ to another voice on the following ‘beat’ and then resolves to the tonic from that voice on the follow beat.

-          NOTE: A transferred resolution can also occur with other tendency tones like the chordal 7th.
