- To transpose a given pitch-class-set by a certain interval, add the interval to each of the pitch-classes within the pitch-class-set

- Use mod12 arithmetic so that each resulting number is an integer between 0 and 11.

- You may also double check the resulting values by calculating the distance around a clockface

- Example: For the pitch-class-set {2,3,5,7} , transposing it by pitch-interval 9 results in {11,0,2,4}
